Cherokee: (Soleil Laurel Canyon) Must have homestead exemption, must be 62 years of age or older on or before January 1st of the effective tax year if qualified, you will be exempt from school taxes only up to ($446,700 fair market value) which is (178,680 of assessed value)

Cobb: State Senior Age 65 $4,000 ($10,000 Income Limit)
This is a $4,000 exemption in the state, county bond, and fire district tax categories. In order to qualify, you must be 65 years of age on or before January 1 and your annual net income cannot exceed $10,000 for the immediately preceding tax year. This includes income of your spouse but does not include Social Security or retirement income. When applying , you will need to complete an Age 65 $4,000 Exemption Income affidavit.
DeKalb: Several exemptions may be available based on age and income.
Douglas: Several exemptions may be available based on age and income.
Fayette: (Cresswind Peachtree City) 62-65 Years of Age – Senior Exemption coded L2
If you are 62 years of age by January 1st of the current tax year, you may qualify for a senior exemption that will increase the reduction in the school tax portion of your bill from $2,000.00 to $4,000.00.
Forsyth: Several exemptions may be available based on age and income.
Fulton: This exemption is granted on all City of Atlanta ad valorem taxes for municipal purposes. To be eligible for this exemption, you must meet the following requirements:
• Must be a legal resident of the City of Atlanta.
• Must be age 65 on or before January 1.
• Your Georgia taxable net income for the preceding taxable year cannot exceed $40,000
• Applies to Atlanta Operating and Atlanta Parks in the amount of $40,000.
Greene: (Dell Webb at Lake Oconee) Several exemptions may be available based on age and income.
Gwinnett: (Del Webb Chateau Elan) The Senior School Tax Exemption (L5A) provides a 100% exemption from taxes levied by the Gwinnett County Board of Education on your home and up to one acre of property. You must be 65 years old as of January 1 of the application year or 100% totally and permanently disabled and must occupy your residence within the Gwinnett County School District. There are income requirements and you must provide documentation of your income for the year prior to the year for which application is being made.
The Regular School Tax Exemption (S3) provides a partial exemption from school taxes. You must be 62 years old as of January 1 of the application year. There are income requirements and you must provide documentation of your income for the year prior to the year for which application is being made.
Hall: (Cresswind at Lake Lanier, Village at Deaton Creek) Several exemptions may be available based on age and income.
Jackson: (Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes) Minor exemptions. Hard to qualify.
Paulding: Minor exemptions. Hard to qualify.
Spalding: Minor exemptions may be available.
